උසස් පෙළ විෂයයන් තෝරා ගැනීම සඳහා සිසුන්ට
උපදෙසක්‌
උසස් පෙළ පන්ති සඳහා සිසුන් ඇතුළත් වන්නේ මේ දිනවල ය. උසස් පෙළ විෂය ධාරා සංඛ්‍යාව ද මේ වන විට හය දක්‌වා වැඩි වී තිබේ. ඒ.... අලුතින් හඳුන්වා දුන් තාක්‍ෂණවේදය විෂය ධාරාව ද නිසා ය. උසස් පෙළට පොදු විෂය ධාරාවක්‌ ද වෙයි. පොදු විෂය ධාරාවට අයත් වන්නේ ප්‍රධාන විෂය ධාරා පහට අයත් නොවන අයදුම්කරුවන් ය. ප්‍රධාන විෂය ධාරා පහේ විෂයයන් විවිධාකාර වශයෙන් සිසුන් ය. එලෙස විවිධාකාරයෙන් විෂයයන් තෝරාගන්නා බොහෝ සිසුහු තමන් කලා විෂය ධාරාවට අයත් යෑයි සිතති. එහෙත් තමන් පොදු විෂය ධාරාව යටතේ විභාගයට පෙනී සිට ඇති බව සිසුන් දැන ගන්නේ ප්‍රතිඵල නිකුත් වූ පසු ය. ඇතැම් විට ඒ ඒ පාසල්වල පවතින පහසුකම් හා ඒ ඒ විෂයයන්ට සිටින ගුරුවරුන් අනුව විෂයයන් තෝරා ගැනීම සඳහා අනියම් බලකිරීමකට ලක්‌ වීමට සිසුන්ට සිදු විය හැකිය. උසස් පෙළ විෂය සංයෝජන සම්බන්ධයෙන් අධ්‍යාපන අමාත්‍යාංශය නිකුත් කර ඇති 2009/16 දරන චක්‍රලේඛය පිළිබඳ බොහෝ ගුරුවරුන්ට මෙන්ම පාසල් ප්‍රධානීන්ට පැහැදිළි අවබෝධයක්‌ පවතින්නේ ද යන ගැටලුව පවතී.
අනවබෝධයෙන් විෂයයන් තෝරා ගැනීම නිසා සිසුන්ට අපහසුතාවට පමණක්‌ නොව අසාධාරණයට ලක්‌ වීමට ද සිදු වෙයි. අසාධාරණය සිදුවන්නේ විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයට ඇතුළත් වීමේ දී ය. පොදු විෂය ධාරාව හදාරා විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයට ඇතුළත් වන සිසුන්ට සාපේක්‍ෂව කලා විෂය ධාරාව හදාරා විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයට ඇතුළත් වන සිසුන්ට තෝරා ගැනීමට ඇති පාඨමාලා සංඛ්‍යාව වැඩි ය. එහෙයින් ඒ ඒ විෂයධාරා සඳහා තෝරා ගැනීමේ දී සිසුන් දැඩි ලෙස සැලකිලිමත් වීම අවශ්‍ය ය. මෙම ලිපිය පළ කෙරෙන්නේ උසස් පෙළ සිසුන් රැසකගේ ඉල්ලීමකට අනුව ය.

මෙම විෂය ධාරාව තෝරා ගන්නා සිසුන් ඉහත සමාජ විද්‍යා, ව්‍යවහාරික සමාජ අධ්‍යයන විෂය කාණ්‌ඩයෙන් අවම වශයෙන් එක්‌ විෂයයක්‌ තෝරා ගත යුතුය. (භාෂා විෂයයන් 2ක්‌ හෝ තුනම තෝරා ගන්නා සිසුන්ට මෙය අදාළ නොවේ.) ශිෂ්‍යයාගේ මනාපය අනුව මේ කාණ්‌ඩයෙන් විෂයයන් 2ක්‌ හෝ තුන ම තෝරා ගත හැකිය.
එමෙන්ම ආගම් හා ශිෂ්ටාචාර විෂයයන් අතරින් යම් ආගමක්‌ තෝරා ගන්නේ නම් ඊට අදාළ ශිෂ්ටාචාර විෂය තෝරා ගත නොහැකිය.
සෞන්දර්ය අධ්‍යයන විෂයයන් අතරින් විෂයයක්‌ හෝ දෙකක්‌ තෝරා ගත හැකිය.
භාෂා විෂය කාණ්‌ඩයේ භාෂා විෂයයන්ගෙන් එකක්‌ හෝ දෙකක්‌ තෝරා ගත හැකි වන අතර විෂයයන් තුනම භාෂා විෂයයන්ගෙන් තෝරා ගන්නේ නම් සිංහල, දෙමළ, ඉංග්‍රීසි යන විෂයයන් තුන ම හෝ සිංහල, දෙමළ, ඉංග්‍රීසි, අරාබි, පාලි, සංස්‌කෘත යන විෂයයන්ගෙන් තුනක්‌ තෝරා ගත යුතුය.
තාක්‍ෂණවේදය විෂය ධාරාව
අධ්‍යයන පොදු සහතික පත්‍ර උසස් පෙළ සිසුන් වෙනුවෙන් තාක්‍ෂණවේදය විෂය ධාරාව හඳුන්වා දුන්නේ 2012 වසරේ දී ය. තාක්‍ෂණවේදය හැදෑරීමට අපේක්‍ෂා කරන සිසුන්,
1. ඉංජිනේරු තාක්‍ෂණවේදය හෝ ජෛව පද්ධති තාක්‍ෂණවේදය
2. තාක්‍ෂණවේදය සඳහා විද්‍යාව යන විෂයයන් අනිවාර්යයෙන් තෝරා ගත යුතුය.
තුන් වැනි විෂය ලෙස පහත සඳහන් විෂයයන්ගෙන් එකක්‌ තෝරා ගත යුතුය.
1. ආර්ථික විද්‍යාව
2. භූගෝල විද්‍යාව
3. ගෘහ ආර්ථික විද්‍යාව
4. ඉංග්‍රීසි
5. සන්නිවේදනය මාධ්‍ය අධ්‍යයනය

ඉංජිනේරු තාක්‍ෂණවේදය සහ ජෛව පද්ධති තාක්‍ෂණවේදය හදාරණ සියලුම සිසුන් විභාග දෙපාර්තාම්න්තුව මගින් පත් කරන ප්‍රායෝගික පරීක්‍ෂණ මණ්‌ඩලයක්‌ ඉදිරියේ ප්‍රායෝගික පරීක්‍ෂණයකට පෙනී සිටිය යුතු වන අතර මෙම පරීක්‍ෂණය උසස් පෙළ ලිඛිත විභාගය අවසන් වීමෙන් පසුව පැවැත්වේ. ප්‍රායෝගික පරීක්‍ෂණය සඳහා සියයට 25 ක ලකුණු ප්‍රතිශතයක්‌ හිමි වන අතර මෙම වසරේ දී (2015) පමණක්‌ එම ප්‍රතිශතය සියයට 15 දක්‌වා අඩු කිරීමට අධ්‍යාපන අමාත්‍යාංශය තීරණය කර ඇත. එම තීරණය ගෙන ඇත්තේ තාක්‍ෂණවේදය විෂය ධාරාව හදාරන සියලුම සිසුන් සඳහා ප්‍රායෝගික පරීක්‍ෂණ පහසුකම් ලබා දීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් ඇති වූ අඩුපාඩුකම් අනුව ය. කෙසේ වුව ද ලබන වසරේ දී දෙවැනි වරට විභාගයට පෙනී සිටින සිසුන්ට ද සියයට 25 ලකුණු ප්‍රතිශතය ක්‍රියාත්මක කෙරෙන බව විභාග දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව නිකුත් කර ඇති 2015 චක්‍රලේඛයේ සඳහන් වේ.

මෙම විෂය ධාරාව හැදෑරීමට බලාපොරොත්තු වන සිසුන් පහත සඳහන් විෂයයන් අතරින් අවම වශයෙන් දෙකක්‌වත් තෝරා ගත යුතුය.
